whatever it is you think you are....
stealing internet in the new house, listening to death of winter mix that Korey gave me months ago, its fucking beautiful.
I miss Korey
I miss Aly in France
I miss Rachel in Santa Monica =(
I am going to see Helio Sequince at Club Congress tonight with Marcella cause the Phil dosnt wanna go, which is really too bad.
I just left safehouse about an hour ago right after getting off work, I ran into Korey and we had a conversation that was any thing but cheerful, it made me sad, and i fucking miss him. I never thought it would be this hard either.
Work is crazy, we lost like 5 people in the past week. Overtime here i come!
its been crazy, to say the least.
off to congress...

"I used to want to change the world, now I just wanna leave the room with a little dignity."
The past few days have been little more than a series of disappointments.
This sounds bad, but it could be worse and by no means am I complaining.
Getting kicked out of the Loft last night for smuggling outside alcohol was pretty humiliating...but at least we only got scolded for that and not for the underage thing....it could have been far worse. I feel pretty crappy about the whole situation.
SO! instead of watching The Shining, as was planned, Rachel and I moseyed to Casa and picked up Tarnation, it was AMAZING. and really fucking intense.
Anyway, let me tell you this, Iron Man, deff worth seeing if you are into that kind of crap, it was pretty decent. SpeedRacer on the other hand, don't even think about it unless you were really into the show. Seriously, it was pretty terrible, like a genuinely bad movie....and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Recently its become ever true that secretarial work is calling to me. I truly long to be someones bitch....I mean personal assistant...I love that shit. Today I was bored at work and decided it would be cool to pick up the Sunday paper and look at the job ads, this I did. Even circled a few that caught my fancy... then I forgot said paper with circled job ads at work....oops. lets just hope my manager assumes it belonged to a customer...
P.S. Rachel loves me so much that she tears my idols out of magazines at work. Thanks for the Ira Glass thingy :P

Strawberry Hills Forever...
I hated Pink Flamingos.
thats all.
In other news....My car decided to be a butt and break on me while I was driving back from the wedding I was shooting in Amado on Saturday. that was fabulous to yesterday and today I was out of a car, but Muffy is back in action now.
RACHEL GOT HIT BY A CAR! this morning. She was on her way to work and I was in class and got a text that said "hit by car, help" needless to say I freaked the fuck out and ran out of my math class to call her. Within a few minuets there were enough dropped calls and a few seconds of talking to her that I was even more freaked out so took all my crap and headed towards Rachel's APT. then she called and it was great and she was alive and not broken =( it was all very scary and im glad she's alive.
Last night we drank lots of strawberry hill and stumbled around, finding a surprising amount of hilarity.....and apparently at one point we bought food....that I don't remember arriving and don't think I ate any of...think
Tonight is Lady Terminator and it best be better than Pink Flamingos was or I might just ask for my $2 back! but probably not. Pretty damned excited, but until that time comes I am going to paint my nails while making ramen that I will eat while reading The Children's Hospital for the next few hours...sounds like the best Monday night ive had in a while.

Is This It

Last night was Mardi Gras, for real this time.
I spent the evening with an ex boyfriend from round abouts five
years ago. Griffin. Upon making plans to see him I was skeptical that it would be the same adolescent bullshit from our days of Miles. I arrived my usual half hour late and apologized profusely having already set our plans back an hour earlier that day. It was awkward at first and bitterly cold. We ended up at a real shitty cafe on university and park, the espresso tasted like weak warmish coffee flavored tea. We sat outside, it was cold, but we could smoke and take long exposure shots. Lens envy was had from both parties and after moving inside to the warmth the baristas put on The Strokes - Is This It.
Rachel was sick, but we went to her place anyway cause I kind of need her to live. We ended up getting a little tipsy and I made Rachel play my fave renditions. It was great, Griffin complemented Rachel on her talents and told her to play a show at Dry River, it was cute. Overall the experience was not at all what I expected and I was just so shocked to find this boy I used to know transformed into a tolerable person whos company I don’t mind....and maybe even enjoy.

I just listened to Is This It in its entirety and loved it just a little bit more than I used to.

Ol' Crack Toe

so i just watched The Darjeeling Limited for the third time in theaters, i hope i can hold out for it to come out on dvd before the hunger strikes again. It is by far the best movie i have ever seen, in my opinion.
The 18th was little Rachel's 19th birthday, that was fun, i picked her up from work, after which we got pretty baked, laughed at a stupid movie and then woke up at noon the next day, much needed escape, though i wish it was something more extreme, we will see about celebrating further at a later date.
today was my mom's birthday and i spent a whole fuckton of money today. i woke up around 10am from my buzzing phone, i took her out to breakfast and payed the bill, after which we went shopping until around 3pm and bought all kinds of cool stuff. then i got the bright idea that we should go to a matinee and since the only movie out worth watching right now is The Darjeeling Limited and since i really would'nt mind seeing it again we went to that, i payed. it was beautiful, she cried during the part with the little boys funeral, and i used all of my will power to keep from lighting up in the theater.
on the way home we saw several car accidents and i think someone died at the intersection by my house, it was all blocked off.
