Geography lessons

Today I go my Tragus piercing that I've wanted for so long. Yay, it helped numb the pain, get my mind off life and satiated some extra cash that was burning a hole in my pocket.

Got some Yay-for-Obama-getting-elected Burritos with my mother and Korey this morning, it was fun to see him again. We talked about how he might move into my mothers house and how we are both moving away soon. He claims he is moving to Pennsylvania...but im not sure it will happen....I'm sure he thought the same thing though when I said I was moving to Berkeley.

Still wanting/needing to get out of here, Berkeley sounds appealing, And I disagree with the statement that I am more of an East coast kind of girl (Korey & Mom).

To my Lover, Napoleon:

This morning I awoke at the quaint hour of 12:00, noon to be precise.
upon waking I showered, shared a quick word with my lovely roommate and thereafter decided not to go to my writing 102 class at 1:40pm.
Not attending my academic practices for the day invoked a need to do something productive. My aforementioned roommate, Rachel, made the sharp suggestion that we pay a visit to the newly opened Walgreen's, not more than a block away.
The Newly opened Walgreen's was an exciting adventure indeed, not to mention it took far longer to reach than was expected. We wandered to the seasonal "Halloween" isle first, for it was by far the attraction of the store. This Halloween isle held not only a wide variety of trick or treat candies and various costumes and decoration, but little to my previous knowledge, it was also home to the love of my life. I saw him at first and was intrigued, but refused to look again...it was not until I was standing next to him for a moment or two, discussing prospects with Rachel that I took my second glance. That was when the feeling swept over me, I turned to my Napoleon, I looked him straight in the eyes...he looked back at me, unwavering. It was not for a moment later that I noticed his name tag, "Napoleon Blownapart" and I was hit even harder with insatiable love.
To make a ridiculously long story short, I lifted my beloved Napoleon Blownapart off of his prison of the Walgreen's shelving...his exposed heart in my hands, we perused the store for a while and I took him home with me.

tonight, while searching my new lover on google (to make sure he didn't have a criminal record)I came across a grindcore/thrash band out of San Francisco by the same name as he,
sfthrash , a coup0le movies and something about sports....

Well, just thought I'd update you folks . . . Napoleon and I are off to bed!

you'll say that its no big deal

Today I received a message via facebook that made me remember why for a long time, or rather, for about four months I really wanted to try and stay single, at least for a while.

I'm not sure what to do about a lot of things right now, but I think I'm gonna figure some shit out tonight, and by some shit, I mean most shit. I do good with alone time.

There is a termite crawling on my door, this house is insane.

Let me tell you this that I've discovered: Getting older has not helped my ability to judge folks when I first meet em. In fact I think it may be impaired.

God forgive my tasteless tongue.

It's really less about morals and more about pride for someone like me.
At first I really did have problems with letting my friends help me out (Greg and Phil) when I told them that I wanted to go to San Francisco to check out a school and maybe live there next year. Greg even up and offered me a place to live almost completely rent free. Phil offered to pay for many expenses such a visit might require. My first reactions were thankful and being amazed that these people would care enough to be so generous, but I realize that this gesture is so possible for both of them that I cannot even begin to understand. I realize that neither of these boys work for their money, but I do think that they are both genuinely kind people, at least.
Anyway, It was these kinds of thoughts that led me to the conclusion that this is really the only way I will ever be able to accomplish such things, or see if this whole moving to San Francisco thing is really what I want to do. And if my friends are willing to help me try to better my life because they know that I don't exactly have the kind of money it takes to help myself, then by all means, thank you sooo much! I accept. At the same time I feel like this is something I want to do myself and I would feel terrible having my boyfriend of two months pay for big parts of a trip thats gonna help me decide my future but if this is how I'm gonna be able to do it at all...I kinda feel like it would be stupid to pass up such an opportunity.

well. at least I think I've made up my mind for a while.

ALSO!
Tucson just got a little better and Ill tell you why: Yanar is back. I dont think i can even begin to tell you how happy this makes me.

whatever it is you think you are....

omgsh.

stealing internet in the new house, listening to death of winter mix that Korey gave me months ago, its fucking beautiful.
I miss Korey
I miss Aly in France
I miss Rachel in Santa Monica =(

I am going to see Helio Sequince at Club Congress tonight with Marcella cause the Phil dosnt wanna go, which is really too bad.

I just left safehouse about an hour ago right after getting off work, I ran into Korey and we had a conversation that was any thing but cheerful, it made me sad, and i fucking miss him. I never thought it would be this hard either.

Work is crazy, we lost like 5 people in the past week. Overtime here i come!

its been crazy, to say the least.
off to congress...

Just spent the last 22hours with Phil...it was pretty great...

Tucson is filled with smoke and I don't know what I'm doing with my life.

New:
  • I just talked to my boss and she told me I can leave work for up to 30 days and stay employed (this is extendable if need be)
  • My dad thinks I'm stupid for wanting to move out.
  • I will be receiving $3,000 in early September. (ask for details privately)
  • selling my bass guitar tomorrow.
  • I still really want to go on this trip.
  • I still need to move out.
  • Im still freaking out about my math final.
  • All claims from my accident on May 5th where I rear ended an SUV on tucson bouevard have been dropped and my driving record is clean once again.

the west coast has been traumatized.

I've been invited on a cross-country road trip.
by cross country I mean: Tucson to Austin, to Chicago, to Seattle, down the west coast back to Tucson. With many stops in between of course those are just a few really big ones.
I'm conflicted as to if I should accept this offer. It sounds amazing. It would be the greatest thing ever to be able to travel the country and take photographs all over the U.S. and be free for like an entire month.
I want to go, really really want to...maybe I should just do it...but I would be abandoning so many responsibilities.
This dosnt feel like the kind of opportunity that will just happen by again, and if I don't go now when I'm 18, without a steady career and still living at home when will I?!?!?!?? right?! so I should just do something for myself and live my life. have a fucking adventure. right?
probably not.
but id really love to.

helping people????

For a few hours this morning I was strongly considering joining AmeriCorps
I figured it would be a really good way to actually do something with my life and like help people and shit....make the world a better place and all that....
http://www.americorps.gov/Default.asp

then I decided it would be a bad idea. But maybe I'll change my mind again.

Afterwards I decided that my main motive for considering it was the travel aspect and proceeded to research birthright tours to Israel, a little more appealing, minus the good feeling of decreasing world suck. http://www.americorps.gov/Default.asp Not really sure I'm Jewish enough to pull it off, but I could def. stand to learn a little more before i turn 27...

Then I just felt bad about not caring enough about building houses in ghettos and helping underprivileged children learn how to read and crap in the U.S. so I looked into Peacecore a little....but thats pretty hardcore...

In other news, saw Iron Man yesterday. That shit was ridiculous. Entertaining, not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Tonight I will see the abomination that is the live action film of Speed Racer staring Emilie Hirsch. Lets hope the hilarity makes up for it. Tomorrow is Shinning at the Loft with Rachel who has not yet seen it. bwahaha.
The Phil is out of town till monday, this makes me a little sad...His brother is taking him to vegas for the weekend, what with turning 21 and all. eh.

neverever

Yesterday I went to see this movie, Aguirre: Wrath of God, at the Loft. It was free, and very German...and about conquistadors.
Aguirre
It was amazing, went with the Phil, we swooned over the amazing directing together. it was so good...after which Cinco de Mayo celebrations ensued.

oh p.s.

Safehouse is open again!

So, I just had to pry open the drawer of my desk with a giant screw driver.
aside from the unsightly damage...it was successful, I now have access to the bountiful treasures within. woot.

Tonight Rachel and I are gonna go see Pink Flamingos @ the Loft.

should prove to be entertaining.

And on Monday night ima go see Lady Terminator with my new little friend, cause Rachel decided it would be cool for her to bail! =( jklawl.

Mat might be there also.
I cant wait.

My love for trash cinema knows no bounds.

I miss the boredom and the freedom and the time spent alone.

Well its good to know my piercings will never heal. ever. any of them. and when they finally do, or even start looking like they are gonna...I will either sleep on them or get punched in one. huzzah. I love waking up with shooting pain! stupid piercings.

Got called into work today, which is fine. my boss called me while I was still in bed. I could really use more hours.

Monday morning I figured it would be a good idea to drop Spanish... So I now have Tuesdays and Thursdays completely free of school and work, but not for long, Im thinking of picking up afternoon shifts at speedway if Vicky will allow it. but having a day off on Tuesday was totally intense and amazing.

Went on a second date last night with a boy who I swear cant be more than an inch taller than me. ha. we listened to The Doors in his car and drove to foothills mall from the U of A to see the worst movie ever. I'm not sure I'll see him again...he's not very smart, plus im pretty sure he smokes a lot of pot and just hasn't told me. He said that he used to smoke a lot in high school and hasn't "in a while" a while probably meaning since he left his house.

Completely forgot about a whole lot of math homework I have due tomorrow until right now.
shit. lets hope Valencia dosnt have any appointments this afternoon. Should be able to get it done.

Coffee with a 25 year old photographer tonight...hhmmm, too old?

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

i know that youre a sucker.

The boys that work at the 24 hour subway on speedway and park must think me and Rachel are some fine bitches...or something, our food is always free...or like $1.50..for both of us anyway. it rocks.

last night i drank a whole bottle of strawberry hill and got drunk and probably said something i shouldn't have to a boy that was using me. go me! oh well though, its for the better...he wasnt that interesting anyway.

today has pretty much been the shittiest ive had in a good while.
this morning i woke up at 9:40..spanish at 9:55, somehow i made it to pima by 10. and somehow in the parking lot trying to run to my class i managed to drop my zune (that i bought last week) on the asphalt and when exiting my car crunched the screen against said asphalt with my foot. it still works...but its ugly now. after this drama, walking to the classroom, juggling a pile of books in my arms my belt somehow falls off and i look down to discover that my favorite belt buckle has decided to break on me at this moment....after 2 years of a loving relation ship this belt decided it was time for the soder on the peg to break. so great. walking into my class at about 10:10 i get my exam from tuesday back from the professor with a big 49 on it.
BEST DAY EVER! after class i saw him and we talked about how he would tell me my grade next class and if its too low im gonna have to drop.

AHHHHHHHH!

at 2 i saw Korey on his lunch break, we shared some product that while in my car i discovered i had not closed the bag last time and it was ALL OVER the case. great... then we went to Safehouse spinning and i bitched about my day and ended up getting a free drink, ha. <3 Safehouse employees, it helped me feel a little better. if shit dosnt start looking up i might vomit all over myself here pretty soon.

im gonna go get some film developed, so look forward to some pictures.

HAPPY PURIM!

well, shit.

its pretty early. im distressed.
should i go back to sleep or make some food?

man, this isnt cool.

I will be so pissed.
I just hope something happens soon.

oh ps, I lost all my phone numbers. new phone coming soon.

uhm. yeah. so marcella's birthday was last night...we hung out, it was cool.
got to see joey, that was cool.
woke up at seven fucking am and drove home cause she's flying to Las Vegas right now.
man i hate las vegas.
man, i love Guinness. thanks rachel.

Oh yeah, and today is Purim, so everyone better dress up and get drunk for me eh?

thats all.

This same old mess

The last 2 days have been an amazing amount of what is way more than I am capable of processing. Going to a party at Nick Creamer's house was a little more than surreal for me. Everyone I never talked to during high school was there. Plus Rachel's co workers. This morning I woke up to find my neck covered in hickies from a boy that I haven't spoken to in 3 or more years and a vague memory of receiving them.
Oh St. Patty's time is the best time of year!
The Guinness, the whiskey, the cream. mmmmmm!
Ive been pretty drunk for a while now, last night we took a cab to the party and both ways we had large angry men listening to bad bad music.

Taking a Guinness and a cigarette in bed for breakfast is truly the only way to start ones day right.
Please pardon my lack of being able to put sentences next to each other and have them make sense.
oh.
oh man. so much family drama right now. when i got home my mom was crying and I guess her and mat got in a big fight, about his living situation and that whore thats he's letting sleep in his house. GUH!

Tomorrow is Marcella's birthday and Thursday is Purim! WOAH!

apparently a boy is going to pick me up from my house in about an hour and we're gonna eat Ethiopian food....hmmm.

She says: Im okay. Im alright. Though you have gone... from my life.

I love Flogging Molly, because they are just really fucking amazing, maybe my brief encounter with them in the wee hours of Saturday morning are influencing my thoughts here a little. honestly im pretty glad that happened though, i think it was a positive step in the relationship of Flogging Molly and I.

The Life Aquatic is probably my fave movie right now.

I was going to post a recap of the weekends thus far exciting events. but decided i would rather keep it in my pocket.
i havent slept in ages, tomorrow is Allen's birthday, im gonna wake up in y lik 5 hours to make blueberry muffins(btw i hate blueberry muffins) before i go to work. see how nice i am? im a great step daughter.

oh and P.S. to Rachel. Bitch is not the new black.

jump back in the window

I'm sorry ladies, I received 3 comments on my last post and didn't really know what to think of them. maybe I'm just thick, but i just wasn't sure...except that Rachel is a silly drunk.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've finally decided on what i would like to get tattooed on me. can i get some honest feedback? as far as placement i was thinking back of left shoulder sounds pretty cute and i like the design cause i think it could hold a lot of meaning on several levels. but im not going into that right now. I was thinking i would kind of draw up my own thing from these 3 pictures. the last is kind of my fave, it has great detail on the leaves. I either want this really big or relatively small, im thinking a good quarter of my back though.

Who else is so excited about the new cloud cult?! they have a new song up on thier myspace, and on my myspace now. its gonna be called Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornadoes). So many amazing bands are being active right now, its great, i feel like i cant keep up.

OH! oh, P. fucking S.... so guess who has a date friday night? oh, guess, i dare you. HAHAHAH!

thats all, goodnight ladies.

oh P.P.S. happy birthday to Andrea Peralta, Jordan Ross and Tony Wendall who's bithdays are tomorrow-in a few hours and happy birthday to my bffl Korey Sargent whos birthday is tuesday-in a few hours plus 24 more.

rejoice.

So, today was pretty shitty. While I am still recovering from Saturday night and Sundays horrific hangover...I went to school late today, told my teacher it was cause I had a doctors appointment....He was worried about me, I've been sick for a while.
Hung out with Korey today, that was fun at last... he has friends way cooler than me now, cool friends that hate me. Whatever, he found a place to live that is about ten million times closer than he is now. Yay. This picture is old...but I kinda like it. lawl...
This weekend I went to Flagstaff, I traveled alone and felt like my own little indie movie on the bus. Pretty lame. But the music was good, the reading was better and I got to sit alone for over half of my trip. Staying with Aly was pretty much amazing, even if there was a whole lot of roommate drama. She introduced me to some extremely awesome ladies that she's bringing to town this Friday I believe, excellent. This weekend (in no particular order) I: Smoked a lot, stood in the snow for too long, did a lot of blow, had wet feet, bought beer illegally from a gas station(kind of), took a lot of pictures of prancing gay boys, drank a lot, messed around with a vaguely (but not too) cute Jewish boy, watched a French film in a library, loved Aly, met a fellow Nerd Fighter, got way too drunk, walked alone in an unfamiliar city while really drunk, had my first true hangover, drank in the morning to relieve it, had a half hour nose bleed, toasted with some sorority girls I didn't know(they were walking when I was), and didn't have my heart explode. It was fun.

My mom gave me a lot of bullshit today...out of nowhere. About shit that im already aware of, as Nico would say "Please don't confront me with my failures, I have not forgotten them"

So help me lord, I am so going to re-create this photo, but its gonna be me chugging that boones farm. Maybe not in a tux, but it will be classy shit.

School is kicking my ass... still...

This picture is ridiculous, thought i'd share.

last night i had a dream about a car...that wasn't mine, and it had two flat tires...
and today was last day of school till monday yaaaaaay

IM GOING TO FLAGSTAFFF YAAAY

Is This It

Last night was Mardi Gras, for real this time.
I spent the evening with an ex boyfriend from round abouts five years ago. Griffin. Upon making plans to see him I was skeptical that it would be the same adolescent bullshit from our days of Miles. I arrived my usual half hour late and apologized profusely having already set our plans back an hour earlier that day. It was awkward at first and bitterly cold. We ended up at a real shitty cafe on university and park, the espresso tasted like weak warmish coffee flavored tea. We sat outside, it was cold, but we could smoke and take long exposure shots. Lens envy was had from both parties and after moving inside to the warmth the baristas put on The Strokes - Is This It.

Rachel was sick, but we went to her place anyway cause I kind of need her to live. We ended up getting a little tipsy and I made Rachel play my fave renditions. It was great, Griffin complemented Rachel on her talents and told her to play a show at Dry River, it was cute. Overall the experience was not at all what I expected and I was just so shocked to find this boy I used to know transformed into a tolerable person whos company I don’t mind....and maybe even enjoy.

I just listened to Is This It in its entirety and loved it just a little bit more than I used to.
