"I used to want to change the world, now I just wanna leave the room with a little dignity."

This could not be more true.

The past few days have been little more than a series of disappointments.
This sounds bad, but it could be worse and by no means am I complaining.

Getting kicked out of the Loft last night for smuggling outside alcohol was pretty humiliating...but at least we only got scolded for that and not for the underage thing....it could have been far worse. I feel pretty crappy about the whole situation.

SO! instead of watching The Shining, as was planned, Rachel and I moseyed to Casa and picked up Tarnation, it was AMAZING. and really fucking intense.

Anyway, let me tell you this, Iron Man, deff worth seeing if you are into that kind of crap, it was pretty decent. SpeedRacer on the other hand, don't even think about it unless you were really into the show. Seriously, it was pretty terrible, like a genuinely bad movie....and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Recently its become ever true that secretarial work is calling to me. I truly long to be someones bitch....I mean personal assistant...I love that shit. Today I was bored at work and decided it would be cool to pick up the Sunday paper and look at the job ads, this I did. Even circled a few that caught my fancy... then I forgot said paper with circled job ads at work....oops. lets just hope my manager assumes it belonged to a customer...

P.S. Rachel loves me so much that she tears my idols out of magazines at work. Thanks for the Ira Glass thingy :P

helping people????

For a few hours this morning I was strongly considering joining AmeriCorps
I figured it would be a really good way to actually do something with my life and like help people and shit....make the world a better place and all that....
http://www.americorps.gov/Default.asp

then I decided it would be a bad idea. But maybe I'll change my mind again.

Afterwards I decided that my main motive for considering it was the travel aspect and proceeded to research birthright tours to Israel, a little more appealing, minus the good feeling of decreasing world suck. http://www.americorps.gov/Default.asp Not really sure I'm Jewish enough to pull it off, but I could def. stand to learn a little more before i turn 27...

Then I just felt bad about not caring enough about building houses in ghettos and helping underprivileged children learn how to read and crap in the U.S. so I looked into Peacecore a little....but thats pretty hardcore...

In other news, saw Iron Man yesterday. That shit was ridiculous. Entertaining, not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Tonight I will see the abomination that is the live action film of Speed Racer staring Emilie Hirsch. Lets hope the hilarity makes up for it. Tomorrow is Shinning at the Loft with Rachel who has not yet seen it. bwahaha.
The Phil is out of town till monday, this makes me a little sad...His brother is taking him to vegas for the weekend, what with turning 21 and all. eh.

Yesterday I went to see this movie, Aguirre: Wrath of God, at the Loft. It was free, and very German...and about conquistadors.
Aguirre
It was amazing, went with the Phil, we swooned over the amazing directing together. it was so good...after which Cinco de Mayo celebrations ensued.

Are you Sensation?

So, Ive got three jobs on the line right now, all of which include attractive women and full to partial nudity.
As soon as I actually sit down and get this wedding stuff out of the way, shits gonna get awesome. hopefully.

Yesterday was pretty shitty, and then it got pretty great. After my writing class I went down to 4th to meet Phil, we walked to the BookStop which was amazing and everything except what I was specifically looking for. So I left with Lolita and White Noise and a really awesome photo book called The Body. Its hot, to say the least. Afterwards we drove to his place so I could make him listen to Tigercity and he could show me his extensive collection of LPs, which was amazing. But on the way there...there was an interview with Vladimir Nobokov's son on npr and I thought it was all too awesome considering I had just bought Lolita. So that was great.
I watched Taxi Driver for the first time yesterday, and holy fucking shit, Amazing.
I never ever thought I would hear myself say that Robert Deniro was hot, under any circumstances, but hot fucking damn.
watch Texi driver.
thats all ive got to say.

P.S. what the fuck is with the state of Pima Community College students and how can they honestly tell me they have never heard of NPR and have no idea what it is! OMGSH!

oh, also i just found out my grandma has Primary biliary chyrrosis....bleh.

Strawberry Hills Forever...

So I'm just gonna say this:

I hated Pink Flamingos.

thats all.

In other news....My car decided to be a butt and break on me while I was driving back from the wedding I was shooting in Amado on Saturday. that was fabulous to yesterday and today I was out of a car, but Muffy is back in action now.

RACHEL GOT HIT BY A CAR! this morning. She was on her way to work and I was in class and got a text that said "hit by car, help" needless to say I freaked the fuck out and ran out of my math class to call her. Within a few minuets there were enough dropped calls and a few seconds of talking to her that I was even more freaked out so took all my crap and headed towards Rachel's APT. then she called and it was great and she was alive and not broken =( it was all very scary and im glad she's alive.

Last night we drank lots of strawberry hill and stumbled around, finding a surprising amount of hilarity.....and apparently at one point we bought food....that I don't remember arriving and don't think I ate any of...think

Tonight is Lady Terminator and it best be better than Pink Flamingos was or I might just ask for my $2 back! but probably not. Pretty damned excited, but until that time comes I am going to paint my nails while making ramen that I will eat while reading The Children's Hospital for the next few hours...sounds like the best Monday night ive had in a while.

Safehouse is open again!

So, I just had to pry open the drawer of my desk with a giant screw driver.
aside from the unsightly damage...it was successful, I now have access to the bountiful treasures within. woot.

Tonight Rachel and I are gonna go see Pink Flamingos @ the Loft.

should prove to be entertaining.

And on Monday night ima go see Lady Terminator with my new little friend, cause Rachel decided it would be cool for her to bail! =( jklawl.

Mat might be there also.
I cant wait.

My love for trash cinema knows no bounds.
